Ekta Kapoor’s announcement on the second season of the most popular show, ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain,’ has piqued many people’s interest. Well-known actors Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar will star in the show as Ram and Priya, the much-loved on-screen couple. The show will depict the complicated dynamics of two persons in their mid-thirties while also highlighting urban loneliness.
Actor Shubhaavi Choksey plays a significant role in the show, which is not only focused on the two protagonists but also their families. Shubhaavi is slated to play Ram Kapoor’s step-mother, Nandini, in the film ‘Dhadak.’ She is known for portraying several parts on television and has also made it to the big screen with her stint in ‘Dhadak.’
Talking about this announcement, Shubhaavi Choksey shared, “Bade Acche Lagte Hain is a show that has managed to successfully change the flow of how viewers looked at television shows back then. I cannot express how happy I am to come onboard and be a part of this amazing project and join this franchise. Looking forward to seeing the viewers’ reaction to season 2 and hoping that they shower as much love as they did to the previous one.”
Anjum Faikh, on the other hand, has been cast as Priya’s younger sister, Maitri, in Ekta Kapoor’s show.
Talking about being a part of the show, Anjum said, “I am super pleased to be a part of such an iconic show. I believe my character in the show will allow me to push my limits as an actor and something extraordinary will come out of it. Since the show is based on urban loneliness and mature love, it’s like a breath of fresh air from the usual saas-bahu dramas on television. I am really looking forward to trying something new and building a wonderful camaraderie with my co-stars on the show.”
‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’ will air on Sony Entertainment Television on August 30 at 8:00 p.m. every Monday through Friday.
