Shiney Ahuja is no more a lost name in Bollywood, though he was behind the bars owing to the rape charges, however, he is back in B Town with Welcome Back releasing this September 2015. He is a known actor born on 15th May 1973 in Dehradun in a typical Indian Army family background. He went to Army school in different locations as his father kept on moving from one place to the other due to transfer. He also went o St. Xaviers High School Ranchi, and Army Public School based in New Delhi. Since his childhood he has been active in sports and was even adjusted the best sport boy in his school and later even represented as Sports Captain at the Army Public School. He even loved cricket and wanted to enter into this sports.

When he entered college, he also joined theater considering his passion for creative field apart from sport. He then went to Hansraj College in New Delhi via dramatics quota. When he was college, he started pursuing his acting career very seriously. He then went to National School of Drama to complete his degree in acting and music. He then joined a theatre group called Tag wherein he got the chance to meet Barry John the director of the theatre. He then joined his acting school based in New Delhi.

During these days he got his first commercial for the brand Pepsi. This brought him into limelight getting loads of offers from different ad agencies. He then worked with 40 different ad companies working for a number of brands including Pepsi, Citybank, Cadbury, etc to name a few, while he then later was seen in the video called Pyar Ho Gaya for one of the British and Asian based bands called Stereo Nation. The very same year, he got the chance to give audition to the Pritish Nandy film called Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, which gave him the first break along with others in the film including Kay Kay Menon, Ram Kapoor and so on. The film was a big hit and gave him several awards in the debut category.

He then was seen in a number of other movies soon, which included Gangster, Woh Lamhe, Life In a Metro, Bhool Bhuaiyaa, Hijack, etc. Two of his movies called Ek Accident and Har Pal is yet to be released considering his punishment on rape charges. Talking about the same, he was convicted in 2009 for raping his maid; however, he claimed that the rape was consensual. He was punished for 7 years of jail by the Bombay High Court despite his maid has retracted from the complaint based on the circumstantial evidence. He is making his comeback in Welcome Back with John Abraham and others. Besides, he is also involved in a number of social work and philanthropy supporting a number of NGOs with his wife.
