Shimit Amin Chak De India Director Now to make a Comeback with Yash Raj Films
Remember SRK Starrer film Chak De India released in 2007. The man that directed the film was Shimit Amin. The film did well and bagged a couple of awards as well. Thanks to the incredible performance of SRK and the taut execution by the filmmaker. He then came with yet another film with Ranbir Singh called Rocket Singh- Salesman Of The Year released in 2009, however, the film did not work well at the box office though it did bag good reviews.
Since then Shimit Amin was away from B Town doing other things. But as per the recent buzz, the filmmaker is going to make his comeback. If reports are to be believed, he will be doing a film with Yash Raj Films. He has one script ready and he feels it is the right time to make a comeback with it. He discussed the same with Aditya Chopra of YRF who had produced Chak De India along with the other film Rocket Singh. Sources claim as YRF is completing their 50 glorious years in Bollywood, they are going to have some big-budget ventures.
They would be announcing a few in the media and one of the projects would be of Shimit Amin as well. Aditya has a good rapport with Amin and he knows his talents are incredible and then would be happy to collaborate once again to make a film under his banner. However, the director is yet to work on the star cast and the title. Even the sources have no idea about the genre of the film. Amin has done three films so far with the above said two and one with Nana Patekar Ab Tak Chappan. All of the different genres, hence one can expect some other genre this time.
