Shashi Kapoor , the B Town Legend Passes away at 79

At last the Bollywood legend and ace actor, Shashi Kapoor passes away, we on the behalf of CineTalkers mourn for the actor and legend. The actor was known to give a number of big hits in his career including Deewar and Kabhi Kabhi and he was seen ill for some time. He was getting his treatment done at the known hospital called Kokilaben. The actor was the key member of Kapoor dynasty which has been made their presence felt since past few decades. The actor was 79 when he battling with the ailment to lose his life. He has come a long way in B Town right from a chocolate actor to a dynamic performer of Bollywood movies.

His performances was applauded and he has won a number of awards including the national awards as well including getting the prestigious award called Padma Bhushan, which is one of the top honors to get by the Government of India during 2011. He has even acted in films in the Hollywood and in the UK. He has been recognized for his incredible performances over the silver screen. He was suffering from his kidney issues since past few years and was on dialysis. The funeral of the legend is to be held in the Tuesday morning. He got married to late English actress Jennifer Kendal who was also the product of the known theatre group from Mumbai called Prithvi in 1978.

S Kapoor started his career working as child actor and has been in around 150 movie including a couple in English as well. He turned out to be an internationally recognised man in the production company called Merchant Ivory including Heart and Dust and Shakespeare-Wallah. In the year 2015, this man has been awarded with the award, Dada Saheb Phalke Award for his contribution in Indian cinema. His blockbuster films released in the seventies and eighties will always be remembered.
