Two released last Friday which seemed to have a decent buzz suffered losses due to the recent cash demonetization carried out by the Indian Prime Minister. While the rest of the mid-level budget movies simply failed to give the kind of collection it deserved. The only film that did a decent business was Force 2, which stars John Abraham and Sonakshi Sinha.
As per reports, the first weekend box office collection for Force 2 tolled to around 21 crores, which is simply greater than the other release called Rocky Handsome that had 16.11 crores. Yet the experts feel that the film could have done better had the demonetization effects had not been present there.
Now, let’s talk about the other film Tum Bin 2, the film was badly hit again due to the same reason. When people do not have money to do their basic things forget about catching up the films. The single screen business was badly hit mostly to the absence of card provision, which was not the case at multiplexes yet people didn’t prefer to catch the film. Well, it will take another couple of weeks to settle down the effects and may be the things would return to normalcy.
