This year, the set the theme was based on “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” The theme focused on how over-the-top fashion has been a medium for people to express their wild sides.
PC along with her husband Nick Jonas explored well as per the theme. She was dressed by Dior. She wore a caged dress along with a cape covered in feathers and tulle. The dress has flowed in feathers. Every feather was neatly cut and attached to the dress by hand. It added to the myriad hues ranging from yellow to beautiful blush pink. Recently, Dior uploaded a video to explain the significance of the dress shared it took 1500 hours to create this masterpiece. The silver horsehair and tulle were placed well to create the caged bodice. It was the highlight of PeeCee’s gown. 10 petite-mains worked to create this breathtaking dress. Further, Dior expresses that this particular dress was inspired by the ‘extra’ fashion of the 80s. It is quite evident from the TV shows back then. Their idea was to create something unique that is based on a fine combination of the dramatic and chic – a perfect incarnation of the ‘camp’ aesthetic.
No doubt Indian critics were really in doubt but PC was definitely well dressed as per the theme. She brought out her wild side. She carried her ‘crazy’ outfit really well. PC you simply rock!
