Big news there for the fans of Priyanka Chopra as she is gearing up to come together with the Stree actor Rajkummar Rao for the first time for a Netflix next film called The White Tiger. The film is based on the novel with the same title by Aravind Adiga. The award-winning novel will now be seen on the screen with Pee Cee and Rajkummar Rao sharing the screen space for the first time in their career. The film will also have Adarsh Gourav in it who is doing his debut with it.
Ramin Bahrani is the director of the film, while the film will hit the floor soon this year. Both Priyanka and Rajkummar will be seen in the leading roles in the film. Talking about the venture, Pee Cee said that she is very much excited to work with Ramin Bahrani and it showcases the poignant story of the cinematic life. She said that when she read the book, she got impressed with the perspective of the narrative. The story talks about raw ambition and how the character went out of the way to achieve it.
Rajkummar Rao also added his views on it stating that it would be interesting to work with the global actor like Pee Cee and top filmmakers like Ramin. Both the actors are excited to work with each other as they will be sharing the screen space for the first time. The film will be produced by Netflix in association with Mukul Deora and the Bahrani would be working on the script along with the screenplay as well. Pee Cee is going to give her services as an executive producer.
