Sandip Pal has been a journalist for a long time now and of late the news about his debut in the direction space was also doing the rounds. The anchor cum journalist at a recent media interaction was all praises for SRK. It was during a media debate that the hot topic of the rivalry of the three Khans surfaced. Being one of the most informed and well-spoken of the lot, Sandip chose to side with the Baadshah of Bollywood.
Bringing a more sensible conversation to the the table, Sandip asserted that Shah Rukh made it on his own. Quipped he, “Forget about the means, what matters is the end result! In the end of it all, Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed King of Bollywood. Even if Aamir Khan and Salman Khan have their own audiences and fans in the country, no other actor from India is as global as Shah Rukh Khan (especially in the male lot). The audiences present were absolutely flabbergasted at the way Pal went all out to give it back to the speaker who was demeaning Shah Rukh Khan on stage.
In a rebuttal of sorts when the speaker asked Sandip to calm down and also pointed out that he was being biased, he retaliated saying, no one gave the speaker the right to judge him. “Why don’t you smell your own oxter before judging me? He thundered, much to the shock of the audiences present.
It seemed that he had taken things to heart. “It is not bias, it is a fact!” Then he went on to enlist all the achievements Mr. Khan had received from the government of India. He stated, “Shah Rukh Khan received the Best Citizen Of India Award, the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award, He is the recipient of Padmashri, The government of France awarded him with the orders of Arts And Letters and countless other awards from the governments of countries like Malaysia, South Korea, Morocco and not to forget the Global diversity award from the British House Of Commons. Sandip further went on an endless tirade about Shah Rukh Khan’s achievements as opposed to the other two actors in concern. “He has been honoured with honorary doctorates so many times by so many international and national bodies.”
He further made his point clear by stating that he isn’t taking any sides because no one is paying him. He further contended, “There is no reason for me to be speaking highly about one actor as opposed to another because neither party is paying me, but you cannot negate the reality. So stop being a pseudo and be real and accept the truth!”
Almost instantly there was a thunderous applause for him but he was as though oblivious to it and was still fuming away as he strutted out from the hall. Interestingly Sandip and the ace actor share quite a bond, the anchor keeps meeting the star time and now, his social media photos are proof and not to forget the famous fifteen minute face to face interview that catapulted Sandip to the limelight.
We wonder what was going on in his mind that he reacted in such a volatile manner. Whatever be the case we wish all the luck and success to Sandip.
