Shah Rukh Khan Threatened with Death; Mumbai Police Initiates Investigation
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has received a death threat, prompting a rapid response from the Mumbai Police. Sources indicate that an unidentified caller, later identified as Faizan from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, made a threatening phone call to Bandra Police Station, demanding a ransom of ₹50 lakh.
Case Registered, Investigation Underway
A case has been filed under sections 506(4) and 511 (attempt to commit an offense punishable under section 506(4)) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Bandra Police Station. In response, the Mumbai Police have dispatched a team to Raipur to investigate the matter, though no arrests have been made thus far.
Security Concerns Affect SRK’s Public Appearance on His Birthday
This is not the first time that the superstar has faced threats. In 2023, following the success of his films Pathaan and Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan disclosed that he had been receiving death threats, leading to the provision of Y+ security in October 2023. Since then, he has been under tight security, with guards stationed around him. There are speculations that Shah Rukh Khan chose to forgo greeting fans outside his residence, Mannat, on his birthday due to these security concerns. While his team has not commented on the situation, the heightened security measures highlight the seriousness of the threats.

Given the recent threats against figures close to Shah Rukh Khan, including Baba Siddiqui, and ongoing threats against Salman Khan, the Mumbai Police are treating this matter with utmost seriousness as they work to apprehend the perpetrator. The investigation is ongoing, and updates are expected soon.

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is set to make his return to the big screen next year with the film King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Anand. The film will also feature Suhana Khan in a significant role, along with Munjya fame Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan as the main antagonist.
