Siddharth Anand, known as one of Hindi cinema’s top action directors behind blockbusters like Pathaan, Bang Bang, War, and Fighter, is currently busy filming the much-anticipated King, slated for a Christmas 2026 release. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan, alongside Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, and Rani Mukerji.

Talking about the film, King, it is shaping up to be one of the year’s biggest spectacles, with Siddharth Anand sparing no expense to deliver an unforgettable cinematic experience. Reliable sources reveal that Anand has orchestrated a breathtaking action sequence on real European locations, costing a staggering Rs. 50 crore. According to a source speaking to Bollywood Hungama, “King is among the most expensive action films in Indian cinema, aiming to create a theatrical experience that will last for ages.

One key action sequence was filmed in Europe over 10 days, with the production shelling out Rs. 5 crore per day for the shoot.”The high-octane sequence featured Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and a specialized stunt team performing intense action scenes. Shah Rukh Khan himself closely supervised the sequence, driven by his fascination with creating grand-scale moments for the big screen.

He collaborated closely with Siddharth Anand in planning and flawlessly executing the sequence on location. The filming of King is expected to wrap by June 2026, with the makers targeting a grand Christmas release.
