Mrigdeep Singh Lamba the known filmmaker who has given films like Fukrey and Fukrey Returns is back in the news for discussing the idea of a third part. As per the filmmaker he is likely to return with the world giving the Covid-19 situation in the third installment of the film. The director claimed that the third installment like the earlier two installments – Fukrey and Fukrey Returns in 2013 and 2017 respectively will have both social and entertainment message.Â
The makers – Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwni have produced the film under their banner – Excel Entertainment and these are the producers of the franchise. As per the director, the writers are toying around the situation created by the current pandemic in the third part. Although the director claimed that it was not the core theme of the film, they are relying on the same.Â
Now, with the current world defying the challenge due to the Covid-19 situation, they are likely to contemplate the same. He will therefore going to have a full-fledged film on the theme. He said the situation would be dealt in a humorous way. He said they are now likely to crack the idea in the best way so that the film can be made on it. He further said that he is culminating all the ideas together in the current lockdown to make an interesting story. He even confirmed that 80 per cent of work on script has been completed, while he is expected to start pre-production phase somewhere in October-November.
