For Satellite Shankar, it was a tough time at the box office as it failed to attract good amount of audience towards it. The film had mixed reviews and the kind of competition it faced was obvious as too many films released this passing Friday. The film had Sooraj Pancholi in the lead role, which seemed to have a decent story but with so many issues with execution and performances, the film ended up getting low ratings that further failed the movie to get a decent collection.
The film scored 10 lakhs at the box office on the first day, while Saturday was a bit higher as compared to the first day getting a collection of around 22 lakhs. The third day it went to collect around 52 lakhs, which somewhere increased for being the holiday. However, adding up all these figures did not help the film to score well at the box office. So, with these amounts, the first-weekend box office collection for the film Satellite Shankar is 84 lakhs, which is really a low figure for any film.
All thanks to the low star value, the mixed reviews and low promotion of the movie in the media, which failed to create any amount of buzz in the media. Needless to say that the competition it faced from the other two films releasing on the same day also made the difference particularly – the Ayushamann Khurrana starrer film Bala. Well, with these figures, there is no hope to see the film doing well at the box office during the weekdays. Thus it would be fair to say that the film is a flop in the making.
