We Still have Caste System in our Society, Claims Richa Chaddha
At one end when we see Kagana Ranaut talking about the issues of reservation in India and later said that the cast system and discrimination on caste has come to an end, we see Richa Chaddha claiming the opposite. Richa was quick to share a matrimonial ad from a Sunday Times. She tweeted about the same by sharing a picture from the Sunday Times carrying the ad. Check out her message saying that the caste issue in India is still prevalent.Â
Caste is not dead. Check out the Sunday matrimonial to see for yourself. Please note, all ads are from urban centres.
The only time we think Caste is dead is when it doesn’t affect us directly in anyway. I wasn’t aware of my privilege/reservation issue till after college. pic.twitter.com/LphIvwDKuT— TheRichaChadha (@RichaChadha) August 24, 2020
While sharing the ad, she underlined the words like fair, caste, veg and other things and later said that India is not free from caste system. She pointed out that the ads come from urban areas and that it does affect them in a big way. Soon the user pointed out that the lady has shared an old newspaper from September 2010 to which the actress shared another tweet stating that even Silicon Valley has the same problem.Â

I don’t think India’s hiding anything … We can ask Seema Aunty if caste is dead. https://t.co/dmiTV71unt pic.twitter.com/t2qw2wbUMx
