Sara Ali Khan wraps up ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan; drops new BTS pics
After finishing up the shoot of Homi Adajania’s ‘Murder Mubarak’, Sara Ali Khan has now also wrapped the shoot of her other most awaited project ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’.
Sara took to Instagram to announce the wrap up of the film. The actress shared the BTS pics from the shoot and penned emotional note on Instagram as she announced the wrap of ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’,
Sara took to Instagram and wrote, “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.” – Mahatma Gandhi. Thank you Kannan sir for choosing me to portray Usha Mehta; the true personification of strength, dignity and passion. Some characters stay etched in our souls, and I know I will carry Usha with me foreverJai Bholenath (sic).”

In the first picture Sara can be seen clad in a white saree. In the second picture she is holding the clapperboard of ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan. In the last pic she posed with the film’s director Kannan Iyer in the same white saree.
Although not much has been divulged about the film, according to media reports, the film is set in 1940 and Sara is playing the role of a freedom fighter in the film. Her character is based on Indian freedom fighter and Gandhian Usha Mehta.
Apart from ”Ae Watan Mere Watan’, Sara will also star in Homi Adajania’s murder mystery ‘Murder Mubarak’ and Laxman Utekar’s romantic comedy ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ where she will be opposite Vicky Kaushal.
