Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor share their near-death experience in Kedarnath

Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor previously visited Kedarnath and faced two near-death experiences. Sara and Janhvi spoke candidly about their trip on the second episode of Karan Johar’s show Koffee With Karan 7. They revealed how they got stuck while climbing and were on the verge of falling off. The actors also admitted to nearly freezing in the minus seven degrees Celsius weather.

Sara Ali Khan said, “We decided to go to Bhairavnath and there was a normal path for walking. But we thought ourselves to be better. We chose to hike instead. There was an 85 incline of just rocks and Janhvi Kapoor was like ‘Let us just climb this’.”Sara agreed because she was afraid of being labelled a buzzkill at the time. Sara admitted to having a fear of falling off the cliff because of the shaky rocks.

They found solace when they saw a fan approaching them as they hung off the cliff, with no help in sight. Much to their dismay, the fan was unable to assist them because he only wanted to take a selfie with them. Sara’s driver eventually found them after nearly 30 minutes of being stuck, and they were rescued with the assistance of special forces.

To make matters worse, the weather failed them on the same day. Janhvi recalled how they almost froze after Sara chose a ‘low-cost-no-heater hotel’ in order to save 6000. “I had travelled to Kedarnath with two thermals, one puffer jacket, three shawls, two track pants, and two sweaters. Karan, I wore every single piece of clothing I had owned and was still shivering,” Janhvi said during the chat with Karan Johar on his show.

Sara’s lips had turned blue and she was shivering when she returned to their room after meeting her friends, she said. Aside from the freezing weather, the bathroom in their hotel was also questionable. “If I had sat on that pot, it would have shattered,” Janhvi explained about her bad hotel stay. The seventh episode of Koffee With Karan will air on July 14th.
