Saqib Saleem in Talks to Reunite with Salman Khan for Apoorva Lakhia’s Next Project

In a surprising turn of events, Salman Khan has decided to collaborate with Apoorva Lakhia for his next film, stepping away from his usual partners, Ali Abbas Zafar and Kabir Khan. This new venture is already gaining traction, with Lakhia recently scouting the stunning landscapes of Leh-Ladakh, suggesting an ambitious scale for the project.

As per the sources close to the development have informed Bollywood Hungama that production is tentatively scheduled to begin in July 2025. The team is currently in discussions with Saqib Saleem to play a significant role in the film. “Saqib Saleem and Salman Khan previously worked together in the Eid 2018 release, Race 3, and are now exploring a reunion for Apoorva Lakhia’s next project. Since Saqib will portray an army officer, both Salman and Apoorva will conduct a look test to finalize his appearance. Once approved, the casting will be confirmed,” a trade source shared with Bollywood portal called Bollywood Hungama.

Salman is reportedly taking a hands-on approach to the casting for Lakhia’s film, aiming to ensure that every decision is well-considered. “The film will feature a large ensemble cast, starting with Saqib Saleem. Two additional actors from the younger generation are expected to join.

Talks have also been initiated with Sooraj Pancholi for a pivotal role, though the director is not particularly keen on including him,” the source elaborated. Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming project is set to commence filming in July 2025, with a release planned for 2026. This film will mark the first time Salman Khan portrays an army officer, adding a fresh angle to his illustrious career.
