Aamir Khan in Talks for Comic Role in Sidharth Malhotra and Raaj Shaandilyaa’s Upcoming Entertainer

In September 2024, several popular Bollywood portals reported that Sidharth Malhotra has landed a significant role in an upcoming commercial entertainer. Back in April, we revealed that Raaj Shaandilyaa, known for his work on Dream Girl (2019), would direct this film. Excitingly, we have now learned that if all goes well, the film might also feature superstar Aamir Khan.

According to sources from Bollywood Hungama, “There’s a very humorous character in the film, and producer Mahaveer Jain and director Raaj Shaandilyaa believe that Aamir Khan would be perfect for the role. They approached the superstar, and he graciously accepted the offer for a narration.”The source added, “Aamir Khan has one small request—he wants to hear the narration after the release of his next film, Sitaare Zameen Par. Currently, he wishes to focus entirely on his project. Once the film is released on June 20, he’ll be in a better position to consider the narration and decide on his involvement.”

Despite this timeline, Raaj Shaandilyaa and writer Sanjeev are thrilled at the prospect of presenting their film to one of Indian cinema’s biggest stars. The character Aamir is being considered for is described as “very interesting and pivotal,” and the makers aim to showcase Aamir in a “never-before-seen avatar.”

The film is set to begin production in September 2025. Last year, a source mentioned to Bollywood Hungama that the film will be rich in comedy and incorporate thrilling elements. Sidharth Malhotra is enthusiastic about his role, recognizing that this project will allow him to present a fresh side of himself and also expand his fan base. As a result, he is fully committed to preparing for the character.
