Sanjay Leela Bhansali seems to be having a troubled time making the movie Padmavati. The director/ Producer who has been experiencing problems one after the other like miffing between the lead actors, budget issues and much more , is in news again for another reason. At Jaipur, where the shooting of the movie was going on in full swing with the sets and equipment all ready , a mob rushed in and caused destruction on the sets while they assaulted Bhansali. The mob even carried a camera and the footage has been uploaded on the web in which you can clearly see the protesters grabbing Bhansali by his hair, slapping him and assaulting him.
The attackers were members of Rajput sena who had earlier threatened to stop the production of the film as they said that it was damaging the image of Rani Padmavati. The equipment like camera and other things on the set were also destructed. The security officials of the shooting team were also rendered helpless as the assaulter were many in number. Reportedly the mob succeeded in causing heavy destruction to the team. The assessment of the financial loss is yet to be reported but it is for any one to guess that since Bhansali’s project was a very big one, the financial loss is bound to be heavy too.
Reportedly Bhansali had to make a phone call to the police to get the situation under control. However no arrest has taken place till now. What remains to be known is regarding the star cast of the film present on the sets at the juncture and whether any harm was caused to them.
Sanjay was at the focus of attack by the mob. He was slapped, his clothes were torn and his haired was pulled. The goons also hurled slangs and abuses at the team of the production.
