The touching story of love and loss, featuring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has struck a chord with audiences, sparking discussions about a potential sequel. It seems those desires may soon become a reality!

According to a report from Hindustan Times, a sequel to Sanam Teri Kasam is currently in development. The original directors, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, are set to return to continue the romantic journey that initially captivated viewers.

New Faces for the Sequel?

The report cites a source who revealed, “The creators are eager to make a sequel to Sanam Teri Kasam. However, it is still in the very early stages, as they have just begun the casting process, placing it firmly in pre-production.”

Tentatively titled Jaanam Teri Kasam, the sequel is expected to be a musical. The source added, “The film will introduce a new cast; the makers are not looking to reprise the original actors. Auditions for the main leads are currently underway, with supporting roles to be cast later.”

Musical Elements of Jaanam Teri Kasam

Providing more insight into the upcoming project, the source shared, “Jaanam Teri Kasam will be a musical. The filmmakers are searching for a female lead who can sing and possesses the appearance and charisma of a performer, ideally someone between the ages of 18 and 20. The narrative is expected to have a similar feel to Aashiqui 2.”

While this news has certainly generated excitement among fans, they will need to wait for official confirmation regarding the sequel’s development.
