Salman Khan’s Sikandar Likely to Follow Tiger 3 Strategy; May Release on Sunday, March 30

March has arrived, and Salman Khan fans are eagerly awaiting the release of his much-anticipated film, Sikandar. The excitement began in December 2024 when the announcement video, unveiled a day after Salman’s birthday, garnered unanimous praise. On February 27, the makers dropped the teaser, offering a glimpse into the film’s world. Though the teaser confirmed an Eid 2025 release, it did not specify the exact date, leading to speculation. With Ramzan Eid expected on Monday, March 31, questions remain whether the film will release on Friday, March 28, or later.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Sikandar is expected to hit cinemas on Sunday, March 30. A source revealed, “Releasing the film on March 28, during the pre-Eid period, may not be ideal as some audiences stay away from cinemas during this time. March 30 is better since it’s a Sunday and coincides with Gudi Padwa, boosting collections in Maharashtra. The following day, Monday, will be Eid, ensuring strong footfalls, with celebrations continuing for days in certain regions. This momentum will carry through to the next weekend, driving collections further.”Interestingly, this isn’t Salman Khan’s first unconventional Sunday release.

His previous film, Tiger 3 (2023), hit theatres on Sunday, November 12, 2023, coinciding with Diwali and benefiting from post-Diwali festivities throughout the week. While the final release date for Sikandar is yet to be officially confirmed, industry insiders are confident about the March 30 release. Notably, the popular German ticketing website Mykinoplex has already started selling tickets for Sikandar from March 30 onwards. The film is being directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna alongside Salman Khan.
