Salman Khan to use machine gun weighing 30 kgs in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’

Bollywood “Dabangg” actor Salman Khan is soon arriving with his next much-awaited thriller ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. He film is the sequel to 2010 blockbuster ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif played the lead role in the original and they will be sharing screen also in the sequel. The next instalment of the spy thriller promises double entertainment with spectacular action.

The news update revealed that Salman Khan will be seen wielding deadly machine gun that weighs around 25-30 kgs in the film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. Salman firing bullets with MG 42 with a magazine of cartridges paired to it, seems like one of the spectacular scenes of the flick. The jaw-dropping action stunts by the actor will give an extra edge to the story.

The director Ali Abbas Zafar spoke about Salman using this gun by saying “When you feature a superstar like Salman Khan, who is known to pull his weight for a film’s action, you need to have weaponry that suits his stature and also fit in with the scale of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai.”

Zafar further said “This fight sequence is part of a very crucial chapter in the film, and the weapon needed to match the scale and impact of this moment. For this scene, Salman fired around 5000 cartridges, over 3 consecutive days. It actually becomes one of the most iconic shots of the film. Because the gun was being used continuously, we needed to keep two such weapons ready for use. It generates extreme heat and we worked in very hot conditions. We had to flip the gun continuously, and keep both in perfect functioning condition.”

After a long time, the audience will get to see the onscreen chemistry between Salman and Katrina on the silver screen.
