Salman Khan to keep original title Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and scrap Bhaijaan, to avoid controversy

Salman Khan’s upcoming film Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, renamed Bhaijaan, will now be released under its original title. According to the report, the actor has been instructed to reverse the alterations. According to the story, Salman’s friends and close associates warned him that the new moniker would be regarded as biased toward a specific population and could spark controversy.

“The film is about the one-ness of all Indians, irrespective of caste or culture. To call the film a culture-specific title seems incongruous. The film was originally called Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, and that’s the title that Salman is likely to adhere to,” a source close to the project was quoted as saying.

According to the report, Salman Khan suggested changing the title of the film to Bhaijaan because his fans referred to him as such. However, his close friends have persuaded him to return to the original title because it may look that the upcoming film is a sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Apart from Salman, the film also stars Shehnaaz Gill, Venkatesh Daggubati, Jagapathi Babu, and Pooja Hegde in crucial parts. Ram Charan will make an appearance, and newcomer Palak Tiwari is also said to have a role. What makes the film even more unique is that it will feature special cameos from actress Malvika Sharma and the world’s smallest vocalist Abdu Rozik. According to reports, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is a remake of the 2014 Tamil film Veeram. The Farhad Samji-directed film will hit theatres later this year.
