Review

The film starts on a fair note and from the very start seen one can be reminded about the Fast and Furious street racing scenes. The first half an hour goes well as we see both the lead actors – Sushant and Jacqueline busy racing and enjoying the rash drive together, however, as time passes the film becomes too complex to handle. Thanks to the thief elements that seem getting added to the script and then comes the cop and many more people who own the dirty secret of each other thus allowing the biggest theft at the most secure place in this country – The President’s Place or Rashtrapati Bhavan. However, getting access to such a secured place on this earth is difficult to understand somewhere questioning the logic behind which the film works. However, the twist and turns one can see in the film are interesting and impressive for the audience. Yet one may find too many questions remaining unanswered even till the climax.

Talking about the performances, Shushant is not an action hero and he somewhere was not able to prove it in drive. He may be good in his smart cool look but somewhere down the line ended up looking pretty awkward in the role. Jacqueline on the other side was impressive in her look and aura. She appeared more convincing as the gang leader apart from adding too much of oomph factor in the movie. Pabbi has given a decent screen presence, while Vibha Chibber suited her role. Same is for Kaustubh Kumar and others. Music was good and so was the direction and other elements. The cinematography seemed to complain about the requirements. However, the action seemed fake and tacky.

Drive – The Last word

With all said and done, the film adds a déjà vu like any other films of a similar genre. However, it fails to impress the audience with its confusing and unconvincing plot. If you are not Sushant of Jacqueline’s fan then Drive can be a completely avoidable movie.
