Actor Salman Khan has made his triumphant return to the grand Taj Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad to resume filming for his highly anticipated 2025 release, Sikandar. In spite of recent safety concerns, Khan is determined to move forward with the shoot at this historic location, which holds personal significance for him. He arrived in Hyderabad with his crew, gearing up for an intensive filming schedule alongside director AR Murugadoss and co-star Rashmika Mandanna.
Filming at the Iconic Taj Falaknuma Palace
The Taj Falaknuma Palace, renowned for its stunning architecture and rich heritage, serves as the backdrop for pivotal scenes in Sikandar. A video making the rounds on social media showcases the palace’s courtyard and exteriors beautifully illuminated with fairy lights, creating an enchanting atmosphere for the shoot. Khan’s connection to this venue dates back to 2014, when his sister, Arpita Khan, married actor Aayush Sharma there, making it a cherished place for him and his family.To ensure everything runs smoothly, the crew reportedly arrived a day in advance. Given the palace’s opulence, Khan and Murugadoss’s team are eager to capitalize on its luxurious setting for an extravagant song sequence.
Action, Drama, and Festivity on Set
After a series of adrenaline-pumping action scenes that have marked the filming since June, Sikandar is now shifting its focus. Khan and Rashmika Mandanna will be filming a vibrant dance number composed by Pritam, transitioning from intense action to a lively celebration. This dance sequence, set in a replica of Mumbai’s Dharavi slum, will feature 200 background dancers, infusing the film with festive energy.

Sikandar boasts an ensemble cast that includes Sathyaraj and Kajal Aggarwal, with Khan taking on the role of a ruthless businessman who ultimately confronts the corrupt practices surrounding him.
