Dilip Kumar’s younger brother, Aslam Khan, passed away on August 21 after being detected positive for COVID-19 a few days ago. However, in his case, the doctors have stated that contracting the disease only deteriorated his condition as he was already suffering from ailments like diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart. Both of Dilip’s brothers, Aslam and Ehsaan Khan, were shifted to a hospital on 16th August after testing positive for COVID-19. Ehsaan Khan is critical currently. Saira Banu has been looking after Dilip Kumar and is also worried about her brothers-in-law. After Aslam Khan’s passing away, she has now requested fans to pray for Dilip Kumar’s brother Ehsaan Khan. In an interview with the Times Of India, Saira Banu spoke about Ehsaan Khan.
She stated, “It is so unfortunate that Aslam bhai succumbed to the Coronavirus; we really don’t know how to cope with this loss. May Allah rest him in peace. Pray for Ehsaan bhai, who’s struggling in the ICU. He’s breathless. I hope he goes back home fine.” Aslam Khan’s last rituals were performed and it was a difficult task due to coronavirus. Saira Banu shared, “Dilip Kumar’s nephew Imran and Ayub Khan ie Nasir Khan’s son along with Saqib Khan of Mehboob Studios and Murshid (who worked for Dilip Kumar at his office and has become an important part of our family) managed everything.” Saira Banu has also been in touch with Dr. Jalil Parkar and Dr. Nitin Ghokhale at Lilavati who have been treating Dilip Kumar ‘s brothers. She clarified that Aslam Khan and Ehsaan Khan stayed separately with their sister Farida.
