Saif Ali Khan Roped in web series Tandav to play a local politician
Saif Ali Khan is on cloud 9, thanks to the incredible success he has got in his recently released web series Sacred Games – Season 2. Also, his upcoming film Laal Kaptaan, he has already created a good buzz in the media with his tough looks in the posters and the trailer released lately. Now, we have some interesting updates for the actor as he has signed the dotted lines for Ali Abbas Zafar’s web series called Tandav.
Yes, you heard it right, the Tiger Zinda Hai fame director is doing his debut in digital platform with a web series which is called as Tandav. It will be aired on Amazon Prime, while the filming would start by the end of the year and we barely know what kind of roles the web series would have. However, we know that Saif Ali Khan is playing a local politician in it who intends to be a prime minister one day. The web series is likely to hit the floor this year-end.
As per reports, the web series is based on politics and will be made with a huge budget since the series is likely to be produced on a large scale. The sources close to the makers claimed that the web series is not close to any Americal political thriller but is made on the lines of House of Cards and it is all set to made on the pretext of Indian Politics.
The plot of the film will have various people active in Dalit Politics and have cops from UP and their nexus with the local politician. The actor also talked about his character saying that his role is similar to Chanakya who is a youth leader coming from a privileged background. The web series will also have Purab Kohli along with Kriti Kamra in the lead roles. It is expected to stream in 2020.
