Saif Ali Khan Case: Second Suspect Apprehended in Chhattisgarh Following Railway Alert

A second suspect linked to the stabbing of Saif Ali Khan has been detained in Durg, Chhattisgarh, after a 50-hour manhunt. The Mumbai Police confirmed that the Railway Protection Force (RPF) apprehended the individual, who was found traveling in the general compartment of a train. This suspect is believed to match the attacker seen in CCTV footage from the actor’s Bandra apartment and is currently undergoing interrogation. The first suspect was previously detained in Madhya Pradesh.
The Mumbai Crime Branch launched a thorough investigation after the Bollywood actor was attacked during an alleged burglary attempt at his residence. The latest suspect was last captured on surveillance footage at Bandra and Dadar railway stations, carrying a black “Fast Track” bag, which has become a crucial piece of evidence in the case.CCTV footage from multiple locations provided vital leads for the police. Based on this information, authorities alerted the railway services, leading to the suspect’s detention in Durg. His mobile number is reportedly registered under the name Rajendra Kodepe from the Rajnandgaon district, although official confirmation of his identity is still pending.
The suspect was caught with assistance from local law enforcement while on the train. He bears a striking resemblance to the individual seen fleeing the scene of the crime. According to police sources, the bag he was carrying was purchased from a local roadside market.Saif Ali Khan was stabbed six times by an intruder during the attempted burglary at his luxury Bandra apartment. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery to remove a 2.5-inch blade fragment from his spine.The police are questioning key witnesses, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, the couple’s nanny, and the autorickshaw driver who transported Saif to the hospital.
Despite the detention of the suspect, no substantial evidence has been uncovered yet.
