Just when the first season of the popular web series called Sacred Games won all rounds of applauds from all across the section our entertainment community, we hear something negative and bizarre about the second season. Most of the critics have alleged that the second season just came out with things going overboard that eventually ended up the entertainment value of the second season. Right from glorying the negative characters like Ganesh Gaitonde the gangster in the second season to cosmetic caricature, the second season isn’t that impressive at all.
The season seems to have gone tacky in a conventional way but at the end dismayed with its typical flaws and weirdness. Watching the earlier episodes released on 15th August, the audiences are finding them as an antipasto. Those who have watched the first part would remember how impressive it was, while this is not the case with the second part. The content in the second seasons to be spoofy with a stark contrast in the earlier episodes. With Pankaj Tripathi playing the godman, it seems that Netflix is preparing an Osho kind of setup in the US.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui has given his best but the way his character is designed seems to end on a comic note. The character of Singh in the web series seems undercooked and mundane in nature. Every time you see Saif Ali Khan coming on your screen you feel like yawning, all thanks to the dull screenplay designed for him in the second seasons. We know this web series – Sacred Games to be a hard-boiled pulp masquerading like any literary fiction, but with the disappointing second season, the maker seems to have scrambled everything in it.
