Esha Gupta had to face the wrath of Twitter as she wished her fans Happy Republic Day instead of wishing them Happy Independence Day yesterday. The Rustom actress was seen sharing a postcard greeting in Hindi that said “Gantantra diwas hardik shubhkamnae” (best wishes on Republic Day)”. However, she soon deleted the tweet but later came out with an excuse saying that her account was hacked that led netizen found enough fodder to deal with her harshly.
Although she later deleted the tweet and claimed that her account was hacked, it was enough fodder for netizens to take potshots at her. Many reminded her that it was I Day and not Republic Day, while others did take this chance as a golden opportunity to wish the people Happy New Year and Happy Ganesh Chaturthi in sarcasm. She then deleted her post and then posted a message saying that her account was hacked and hence was not able to send messages using it.
Later she claimed that her account was restored an hour later and then she came out with the tweet saying that her account was restored finally and then thanks to her team who helped her to restore her account. She also was seen answering to the troller informing that she comes from an airforce family. She is not alone to have this issue as Big B also had lost his Twitter account ID when they seemed to applaud Pakistan using his account and later he was able to recover his account from the hackers who changed his profile picture to Pak PM Imran Khan.
