This Friday, you have two movie hitting the theatres- Roy and MSG. Roy is directed by the debutant Vikramjit Singh starring Arjun Rampal, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ranbir Kapoor in the main leads. The film has no better timing than this for its release as it is just getting into the theatres when Valentine Days is about to hit the world. Amidst all love celebration and gala time, the Roy is supposed to prosper the right way wherein people won’t mind catching up the film, which has everything. Since it’s the only sole release in terms of a mainstream cinema it is likely to garner a good response. The other film MSG may not have that mass appeal as it circles around spiritual and social message.
Hence Roy being the only conventional Bollywood movie is likely to benefit the most. The film has romantic theme which will invite the crowd gearing up for the V Day celebration along with having mystery and thrill, which can really attract good number of crowd for the film. The unique cast too would remain the important source of attraction for the audience. Hence as per trade pundits and experts, the movie is likely to do better over the box office. Hence the box office prediction for Roy for its day one can be around 10 to 12 crores, while the first weekend can have 35 to 40 crores.
