Synopsis: The Colors TV Channel is all set to embark upon with a new TV show called Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, which is a family drama genre show. The show has started on 28th May 2018 and it has been produced by Rashmi Sharma with her own production house called Telefilms Ltd. The show has an interesting start cast, which include  Afaan Khan, Yash Tong, Mitaali Nag and Vaishali Thakka. The show also features Nikki Sharma as Himani – Sister of Roop, Ananya Agarwal as Jigna – Sister of Roop and Tasheen Shah as Kinjal – Sister of Roop who would be seen in pivotal roles. The makers releasing the show expects to see a  change in age old typecasts. The show is aired at the time slot of 9 pm at the popular channel called Colors and it will be a five day TV show with a drama genre.

Talking about the plot of the show, it is brought up in a typical patriarchal milieu, as this ‘little man’ in the lead role has often wondered why he is seen getting chastised for his behavior all the men in his family. As per the makers, the interesting aspect of the show is the character of Roop, who is known to have three sisters. He is seen playing with them but the society discourages him to do so that confuses the man. Thus the show talks about the age old thoughts where male have an edge in the society away from the female. The promos released by the makers are getting a decent response in the media.
