Starting from Dil Bechara to Shakuntala Devi; every filmmaker is interested in launching their movies on a digital platform. Now as per latest reports, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi and Kabir Khan’s 83 both under Reliance Entertainment may be released on OTT platforms.
Speaking exclusively to the sources, Reliance Entertainment CEO, Shibashis Sarkar says that their first priority is to take theatrical route. However they don’t want to delay the release further than practically possible. He also states that he is not keen on the idea of pushing the release dates beyond Diwali/Christmas. So the first inclination is towards the theatre release if cinema halls open and audiences are back. However now for the first time after lockdown, Sarkar admits that Reliance Entertainment is looking forward to release both movies in digital platform. Either if cinema halls open or COVID cases increase drastically….and audience are not coming in some States/Countries theatre open or in some they don’t…in those situations they are going to explore other options. The hey are not looking to delay release further and plus they are doing this as a precautionary measure.
