The star’s sister, who is married to actor Aayush Sharma, promptly reported the incident to the Mumbai police. Arpita claimed in her police report that her five lakh rupee diamond earrings—which were kept in the make-up tray—had vanished. The stolen diamond earrings, which had been meticulously hidden in Arpita’s beauty tray, were quickly identified and taken from the suspect’s home when the Mumbai Police launched an inquiry without further delay.

For the previous four months, the accused had been employed at Arpita’s high-rise home. He had stolen, then fled without telling anyone. Hegde has been detained by police and charged with theft by servant in accordance with IPC section 381 (remand).
The police started an investigation based on her accusation and looked through the local CCTV footage. “Accused Sandip Hegde decamped with diamond-studded gold jewellery worth around ₹ 5 lakh from Arpita Khan’s residence located on 17th Road in Khar. After the incident came to light, Arpita approached the police and lodged a complaint,” the official of Khar police station said.
The official continued, “On Tuesday, the police apprehended the accused from Thane for the alleged theft of the jewellery with the aid of technical and other inputs.
