Bio – Riteish Deshmukh is an Indian film actor and producer of Indian Cinema. He debuted his film career with the movie called Tujhe Meri Kasam in 2003 opposite Genelia D’Souza, which was flop movie. He turned popular when his next movie Masti became a big hit for which he as awarded at various awards. Some of his successful movies include as Kya Kool Hai Hum, Kya Super Kool Hain Hum, Malamaal Weekly, Bluffmaster, Dhamaal, Heyy Babyy, De Taali, Double Dhamaal, Housefull 1, Housefull 2, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, and the latest hit Grand Masti. Apart from the acting world, he also owns the cricket team called Veer Marathi of CCL (Celebrity Cricket League).
In the year 2013, he embarked as a producer wherein he produced a Marathi film called Balak Palak, which was directed by Ravi Jadhav. The movie was a big success you will soon find its remake in Hindi as well. Though most of his movies turned average and flop except the few like Masti but his performance in these films were appreciated by the film critics and reviewers. His image as a comedy actor has been established in Bollywood, which he has justified while playing the comic character in different films. His upcoming movies include Humshakals and Ek Villain, which will be released this year.
Apart from the comedy roles, he has also played some serious characters in movies called Bluffmaster, Apna Sapna Money Money and several movies with guest appearance that became a big hit including Namastey London that turned out a big hit. The lead role in De Taali was really appreciated by the critics, while movies like Aladin, Rann, Chamku, and Do Knot Disturb was a big disaster, yet it didn’t went against his performance or image in the industry for being an established actor in the film world. Some of his recent hits include Houseful 1, FALTU, Double Dhamal, and Grand Masti, which made his balls rolling in the industry.
As far as his personal life is concerned his father late Vilasrao Deshmukh is an ex chief minister. Riteish did his architectural engineering Kamla Raheja Vidyanidhi Institute for Architecture and Environmental Studies. After his degree he continued to work for a year in one of the leading architectural firm overseas and did the same while he returned to India. Later he moved on to pursue his acting career but still has his sakes in his architectural and interior designing firm based in India called Evolutions. He is planning to launch his own Marathi film production company. He has married to Geneila D’Souza in the year 2012 in a traditional Marathi wedding ceremony.
