After turning into a con artist who prints fake currency in Raj& DK’s thriller web series ‘Farzi’, Shahid Kapoor is now poised to become a vicious professional assassin in his forthcoming film ‘Bloody Daddy’.

Shahid recently published the film’s trailer on Instagram, which has piqued fans’ interest, and they can’t wait to witness the actor in a never-before-seen role as a cold-blooded professional assassin.

The brief one-minute 14-second teaser begins with Shahid walking in slow motion with a knife in his hand. He immediately pours fury on his foes, breaking their skulls with a wooden staff or stabbing them with his dagger, appearing absolutely sophisticated in his black suit. The brief action sequences hints that killing people in the most vicious manner is a daily activity for him.

The film is about mafia, drugs, cops, family, and of course tons of violence and blood, and based on this short trailer, we can easily guess that it will be a no-nonsense thriller with Shahid playing a cold-blooded professional killer. Shahid’s swagger and no-nonsense attitude while breaking skulls of his enemies, are reminiscent of Keanu Reeves’ ‘John Wick’ series.

The film also stars Ronit Roy, Sanjay Kapoor, and Diana Penty, all of whom make brief cameos in the trailer. Diana appears to be acting as a cop. Ali Abbas Zafar, who previously directed blockbuster action drama movies Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), is directing ‘Bloody Daddy’.

Bloody Daddy will have a direct digital premiere on Jio Studio’s new OTT platform on 9 June 2023. Given that it is a direct OTT release, we can expect to witness a lot of gore and vicious action scenes that would not have been possible if it had been a theatrical release.
