Rhea Chakraborty returns on Television as ‘Gang Leader’ in MTV’s ‘Roadies’

Rhea Chakraborty, who has been out of the spotlight for the last three years after being pulled into Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case and spent a month in jail as a scapegoat in his suicide case, is set to make a television comeback with the famous reality show ‘Roadies’ on MTV.  The makers of Roadies 19 took to social media to share Rhea Chakraborty’s latest promo as a ‘Gang Leader’.

Rhea is seen stating in the video, referring to the difficult turn her life had taken following the loss of her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput, “ap ko kya laga, main waapas nahi aaongi, darr jaaongi? Darne ki baari kissi aur ki hai (Did you think I wouldn’t return, that I’d run away scared? Now it’s someone else’s time to feel terrified).”

Soon after the trailer was released, netizens criticised the producers for casting her as a gang leader, while others expressed their support. Commenting on the promo, a user wrote, “Kisko leao ho ? Ab rodies kon dekhega? Sushant murderer”.

Another user commented, “Ye nhi yaar laana hi tha to koe x Roadies ko lana tha”.

One more user wrote, “whether she kill sushant or nit , but she consume drugs which is clearly not good ,or eligible to be roadies judge”.

“Roadies ka standard ab itna khrbh ho gya ran sir prince bhai r raftar aur neha mam ko wapas bulao,” wrote another user.

Rhea was last seen on screen in the 2021 mystery thriller film ‘Chehre,’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. The film, directed by Rumi Jaffery and produced by Anand Pandit alongside Saraswati Entertainment Private Limited, was a box office flop, collecting only Rs. 7.5 crores against a budget of Rs. 25 crores.
