Though the former was an average grosser, the latter seemed big at the box office. Ranveer Singh simply impressed the audience with his incredible performances in both the films particularly in Gully Boy. The film entered 100 Crore Club getting huge at the box office. Now, as per the latest buzz, the filmmaker is gearing up for her next film with the actor.
As per reports, Zoya Akhtar is planning to make a film based on Hollywood films – The Departed and Gangs of New York having Leonardo DiCaprio, which was directed by Martin Scorsese. The film was a big hit at the box office. As per the sources, Ranveer would be playing the gangster’s role in it. As per reports, the film will be a two-hero movie and she is planning to buy the rights of the two Hollywood films. She is keen to make the desi avatar for the said Hollywood movies.
As per sources, she has confirmed the role with Ranveer Singh, while for the other lead, he is now looking out for an interesting role. Talking about Ranveer Singh, he is now gearing up his next film called 83, which deals with the victory of Indian Cricket Team in the 1983 World Cup. He would be playing the former Indian skipper Kapil Sharma, while it will have several actors including Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, Jiiva, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Harrdy Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi and Sahil Khattar . The film is scheduled to hit the screens in 2020.
