Ranveer Singh shows respect to Nana Patekar, touches his feet while receiving an award
During a recent awards ceremony, Ranveer Singh showed his respect to Nana Patekar by touching his feet and kissing him on the face. Ranveer Singh was announced as one of the winners during the ceremony for his film 83, which is based on the life of former cricketer Kapil Dev.
Ranveer stepped up and saluted the folks in the crowd in a video uploaded by a paparazzi account on Instagram from the Lokmat Maharashtrian Of The Year event in Mumbai on Tuesday. Ranveer then motioned for a bat to be thrown and walked up the steps leading to the stage after touching it.
Ranveer went over to Nana Patekar on stage and touched his feet to receive his blessings. He also hugged and kissed the veteran actor on his cheek. They also exchanged handshakes before Ranveer moved to the front to get his trophy.
Nana Patekar was most recently seen in the 2020 released film It’s My Life, in which he played a supporting part. Anees Bazmee directed the comedy-drama, which starred Harman Baweja and Genelia D’Souza.
In 2018, Nana Patekar was charged with sexual harassment after actress Tanushree Dutta accused him again. He was acquitted of the allegations in 2019. She accused Nana of sexually abusing her on the set of Horn in 2008. Okay, please.
Ranveer was also spotted raising the national flag while singing on stage at the awards event on Tuesday evening. He also performed Malhari from Bajirao Mastani. Ranveer donned a white suit, black shoes, and sunglasses to the occasion. Ranveer attended the occasion just days after returning to Mumbai from the NBA Abu Dhabi Games 2022.

Ranveer has a number of interesting projects in the works, including Rohit Shetty’s next directorial effort, Cirkus, starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. The film is set to be released on Christmas Day. Ranveer has Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, in which he co-stars alongside Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on February 11, 2023.
