The upcoming film of Karan Johar called Takht revolving around the Mughal dynasty seems to have incensed Rangoli Chandel the sister of Kangana Ranaut. She was quick to target the popular filmmaker Karan Johar for making Moghul invaders look alluring in his upcoming movie. She called Karan Johar as a dump filmmaker and asked him to stop the depiction of historic characters with an added amount of fierce desire in it.
She further said that he should stop this film as it fills give bad name to our country and bring shame for it with the crying drama in his film. She added that the authorities should ask the script to check what all has been written and made in the coming film. As per reports few filmmakers have similar objections against Karan as his film Thakt would pain a glamourous image of invaders in our country.
However, Karan Johar is not the first one to portray the Mughal characters on the silver screen. Sanjay Leela Bhansali has also done similar things before by bringing Allahuddin Khilji over the silver screen with his film Padmaavat. The filmmakers claim that there is a difference between SLB and Karan Johar as the former has ferociously portrayed Khilji, while the latter tends to add glamor to his characters, which can be a problem. Vicky Kaushal is playing the Moghul invader role in the film. There are several stars in this film and it remains the mangum opus for Karan Johar.
