Panipat in problem as Afghan embassy writes to Indian Government asking Ahmad Shah Abdali’s portrayal

Just when the makers of the film Panipat released the trailer in the media, it has gone viral on the web. The film revolves around the popular war of Panipat fought between Marathas and the Afghans. Arjun Kapoor is playing the Maratha warrior called Sadashiv Rao Bhau while Sanjay Dutt is playing the role called Ahmad Shah Abdali, who happens to be an Afghan king and has been the founder of the Durrani Empire.

Dutt has shared his first look poster in the media giving the idea of the powerful character he plays on the silver screen the trailer has given all rounds of applauds for the actor, which has even reached to the Afghanistan Consulate office. The Afghan embassy has written a letter to the Indian government raising their concerns about the way the character has been shown over the silver screen in the said movie. They have even expressed their desire to meet Mr. Prajash Javadekar the Information and Broadcasting Minister.

A copy of letter also sent out to Ministry of External Affairs. As the movie talks about the former Afghan King Ahmad Shah, the embassy claims that any insensitive or distorted depiction of the said character could provoke emotions of the people back in their country. The letter explained that how it could be unfairly exploited by others and thus hamper the relationship between the two nations. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
