At the end of first weekend collection for the released movies The Shaukeens and Rang Rasiya, the former is seen leading the show. However, Rang Rasiya, which witnessed a good fervour and buzz before hitting the theatres failed to make the mark over the box office. The movie was produced long back in 2008 but was blocked by the censor board for its bold content. However, after so many hassles and hiccups, the movie starring Randeep Hooda and Nanadana Sen made its way this Friday. Unfortunately, the movie was seen way behind on day one with collection going to around 70 lakhs.
Rang Rasiya the movie of Ketan Mehta is low at the box office despite being released with more than 1000 screens. The movie collected around 2.35 after three days its release. As per experts, the poor promotions failed it over the box office. However, with movies like The Shaukeens the high end promotion really helped it to make its mark over the box office. The other rival to Rang Rasiya was also the Happy New Year, which continues to do business after its second week of release. The movie is close to its 200 crore mark, which will make it the biggest grosser of the year.
