Ranbir Kapoor, Nitesh Tiwari, and Others Discuss Ramayana Values with 20,000 Students; Special Episode on JioHotstar

Actor Ranbir Kapoor, director Nitesh Tiwari, actor Ravie Dubey, and producer Namit Malhotra recently engaged in a wide-ranging interaction with students to discuss the timeless values and core characters of the Ramayana. Titled Har Yug Mein Ram: A Conversation with Young Leaders, the special interaction will stream exclusively on JioHotstar beginning November 1.

Organized by JioHotstar in collaboration with the film’s producers and the International Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (I.I.M.U.N.), the initiative connected with nearly 20,000 students from over 500 schools spanning 18 cities. The panel explored how the epic’s central themes—duty, courage, loyalty, and sacrifice—continue to offer practical guidance for youth today.

Ranbir Kapoor, who portrays Lord Ram in the upcoming feature Ramayana: Part One, described the session as deeply grounding. “Rama’s story has been part of our lives for generations, and stepping into his shoes has been an incredibly humbling experience. What made this interaction special was hearing young minds engage with his story in their own way,” Kapoor shared.

The event, hosted at I.I.M.U.N.’s Mumbai headquarters with 150 student representatives in attendance and thousands participating virtually, allowed students to question the panel on complex narrative choices, moral conflicts, and character motivations.

Director Nitesh Tiwari noted that the epic’s enduring strength lies in its deeply human emotional beats alongside its grand scale. Meanwhile, Ravie Dubey, who plays Lakshman, highlighted how discussing brotherly loyalty and duty with students offered fresh perspectives on his own preparation. Producer Namit Malhotra added that fostering this dialogue ensures younger generations build an authentic personal connection with the heritage text.

The promotional special arrives ahead of Ramayana: Part One, produced by Prime Focus Studios alongside DNEG and Monster Mind Creations. Featuring an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey, the grand adaptation debuts in global theaters on November 5, 2026, across multiple languages and IMAX 3D.
