Ramayana Trailer Postponed as Sony Pictures Partners for Global Release

Prime Focus Studios has joined hands with Sony Pictures Entertainment to release the upcoming film Ramayana in international markets outside India. Because of this massive global partnership, producer Namit Malhotra announced that the film’s much-awaited trailer release has been delayed and will now launch at a later date.
Calling it a historic moment for Indian cinema, producer Namit Malhotra shared that partnering with Sony Pictures makes his dream of taking Ramayana to the world a reality. He explained that this deal will allow the Indian epic to be screened globally on the same scale as a major Hollywood film. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi in lead roles, and it will be released internationally in several languages, including a special English version.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the fantasy action-adventure features a legendary international creative team. The film’s music is composed by Oscar winners Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, while the action choreography and production design are handled by top Hollywood professionals. Visual effects will be led by the Academy Award-winning company DNEG.
Malhotra emphasized that the movie aims to honor the timeless values of the ancient story while giving international audiences a world-class cinematic experience. With Sony Pictures on board for international distribution, Ramayana is set for one of the largest global releases in Indian cinema history, building even higher anticipation for its upcoming trailer.
