Raj Kundra Porn Case: Gehena Vashisht Reveals Insights on Payments, Hotshots App, and Viaan Industries

Actor and producer Gehena Vashisht was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday regarding the ongoing Raj Kundra pornography case. The interrogation lasted over six hours, during which Gehena provided crucial insights about her interactions and the operations tied to the case. This development is notable, especially as Raj Kundra has missed ED summons on two occasions.

Hotshots App and Alleged Links to Raj Kundra

One of the main focuses of Gehena’s questioning was the Hotshots app. After her interrogation, she told IANS, “I have always maintained that I never interacted with Raj Kundra directly. Our communications were through Umesh Kamath. However, the places we visited for meetings had ‘Viaan Industries’ written at the entrance. We also saw Raj Kundra’s family photo there, leading me to assume it’s his company. Why else would someone else have his family photo on their premises?”

The Hotshots app, which is currently under investigation in the pornography case, was reportedly shut down in November 2020. Gehena recalled meeting Raj Kundra for the first time in January 2021 to discuss two upcoming apps, Bollyfame and Jaldilife. “Raj was about to launch these apps, and our meeting was related to that. Shilpa Shetty was intended to be the brand ambassador,” she added.

Insights on Payments and Transactions

Gehena also shared details regarding her payment structure for films associated with the case. She stated, “I used to receive three lakhs for each movie. After completing each film, I would raise an invoice. The payments were made to my ICICI bank account in GBP (Great British Pounds), which I then converted into Indian currency.”

Recent Raids and Ongoing Legal Proceedings

The ED’s questioning of Gehena follows recent raids at 15 properties linked to Raj Kundra and his associates in Mumbai and Uttar Pradesh. These searches are part of the ED’s investigation into financial transactions related to the pornography case. The case against Raj Kundra was first registered by the ED in May 2022, involving allegations of producing and distributing pornographic content through digital platforms, which raises significant concerns about the financial operations associated with the apps.
