Pushpa 2 Box Office: Allu Arjun’s film Creates History as it inches to 1000 Cr Collection Worldwide

The Hindi version of Pushpa: The Rule has made waves at the box office by breaking multiple records.

  • Biggest First Day: The film achieved the largest opening day ever with an impressive collection of Rs 72 crore (Rs 720 million).
  • Record-Breaking First Three Days: It continued its success by earning Rs 205 crore (Rs 2.05 billion) in its first three days.
  • Single Day Benchmark: On Sunday, it set a new record for the highest single day score, raking in Rs 80 crore (Rs 800 million).

As a result, the total collection for the first four days stands at an astounding Rs 285 crore (Rs 2.85 billion), and the film is expected to perform even better, with an open run in theaters until the Christmas release of Baby John.

Crossing the Rs 300 Crore Mark

As of now, Pushpa: The Rule has already surpassed the Rs 300 crore (Rs 3 billion) mark. Analysts predict that this Sukumar-directed film will soon eclipse the box office earnings of the highest-grossing Hindi film, Stree 2, which earned Rs 627 crore (Rs 6.27 billion). Additionally, projections indicate that Pushpa 2 (across all languages) will be the fastest film to cross the Rs 1,000 crore (Rs 10 billion) milestone. Movie trade analyst Girish Wankhede stated, “The film is expected to reach Rs 800 crore in India across all languages by the fourth day of its release.”

Impact on the Box Office

A few Indian films, such as DangalBaahubali 2: The Conclusion, and the recent Kalki 2898 AD, have entered the Rs 1,000 crore club. Globally, Pushpa 2 is anticipated to achieve a box office collection of Rs 950 crore (Rs 9.5 billion) by the end of the weekend. However, the film did witness a 15 percent drop in its box office collection on the second day. Trade analysts had predicted that the film would generate Rs 1,000 crore in India alone due to its strong brand recognition and high demand for advance bookings. According to film trade analyst Komal Nahta, the movie’s collections are now the highest at the Indian box office.
