Raid 1st Weekend Box Office Collection

Raid Movie Review

The Ajay Devgn’s latest outing called Raid seems to be going strong at the theatres at the end of its first weekend. The film has collected Rs 23.90 crore within two days, while the collection roared at the box office at the third day as well. The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, while its success was seen becoming just the double to give a surprising victory for it is a movie that seems to be a devoid of the typical Bollywood masala tales. The trade analyst was in glee to announce the film doing better right from the first day with the collection moving around to 10.04 crore on the first day and 14.86 crore on the second day and on the third day it went to around 15.25 crore.

So, as per the reports, the first weekend box office collection for Raid reached to around 39.15 crore, which is a decent figure for the film. Though the film had garnered an average review for the movie from most of the critics, the film has managed to garner a good word of mouth promotion and buzz in the media giving a decent surge. The trade analyst said that it was the strong word of mouth that has helped the film to boost up the footfalls along with the box office numbers. The film is directed by the No One Killed fame director who has taken liberty to make the film interesting and applauding.

The movie talks about the story of a dare devil Income Tax (I-T) officer and his big raid he has carried out against the most-connected and high-profile politicians in the UP state Capital Lucknow. The film Raid happens to be a period drama, which is made at the backdrop of eighties. However, most of the critics have been questioning about the pace of the film along with the missing city of Lucknow as one cannot find it in the film except the landmarks of the city which has been shown time and again just to prove that the film deals with this city only.
