Deepika Padukone Honored at 26th Annual Crystal Award for her work in Mental Health Awareness
Deepika Padukone is not just a good actor but also a good human being. She with her NGO which works for mental health spend good time and resources for people suffering from mental issues. She has remained part of several mental health awareness drives. She is now being recognized for this work as she bags an award for her work at the 26th Annual Crystal Award for creating good mental health awareness. The leggy lass is the only Indian actress who was featured at Davos 2020 winners list.
While talking about the award she said, she is honored to receive the award. She continued as more than 300 million people are suffering from mental issues including depression and other illness, it has become a major concern in the current world. She further said that she along with others have to work hard and aggressively address this issue. She said she is honored to get this award and would dedicate it to millions who are the victim of issues like stress and depression along with the other forms of mental illness.
Besides the actress, the others from the film world include the artist Theaster Gates and choreographer Jin Xing who were also honored at the same place with the Annual Crystal Award. Talking about her work, she is the part of two films, first, Chhappak and the next is 83 with her hubby Ranveer Singh. The former is her debut venture in production which is directed by Meghna Gulzar, while the latter is directed by Kabir Singh. Chhappak is releasing on 10th Jan 2020, while the latter is releasing in the mids of 2020.
