PVR INOX is set to launch an exciting Women’s Day Film Festival from March 7 to March 13, 2025, showcasing the re-release of three impactful films featuring leading actresses Alia Bhatt, Kangana Ranaut, and Priyanka Chopra. The selected titles include Highway, Queen, and Fashion, all chosen to celebrate female-led narratives and give audiences a chance to revisit these cinematic classics.
The festival will commence on International Women’s Day, March 7, and will take place over seven days at PVR INOX cinemas in various cities. Highway, directed by Imtiaz Ali, features Alia Bhatt in her breakout role as a young woman discovering freedom during an unexpected road trip. Queen, directed by Vikas Bahl, follows Kangana Ranaut’s transformative journey of self-discovery, earning her a National Award for Best Actress.
Meanwhile, Fashion, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, explores the highs and lows of the modeling industry, with Priyanka Chopra receiving a National Award for her captivating performance. The re-release of these films reflects PVR INOX’s strategy to leverage the growing demand for classic movies, a trend that has proven successful with titles like Tumbbad and Sanam Teri Kasam in recent months. Currently, theaters are also screening beloved films such as Shah Rukh Khan and Karisma Kapoor’s Dil To Pagal Hai, Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor’s Raanjhanaa, and Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur.Additionally, Lootera, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh, is also set to re-release on March 7, adding to the festival’s lineup.
