PVR INOX Launches India’s Highest Multiplex in Leh at 11,500 Feet; Dhurandhar and Avatar: Fire And Ash Lead Opening Lineup

Leh-Ladakh, known for its breathtaking natural beauty, has long lacked modern cinema facilities—until now. Following the revocation of Article 370 in August 2019, gradual developments have begun transforming entertainment access in the region. After Inox’s entry into Srinagar in 2024, PVR INOX has now taken a significant leap by opening a 2-screen multiplex in Solar Colony, Saboo, Leh, Ladakh, under its Franchise Owned Company Operated (FOCO) model.

This state-of-the-art multiplex boasts 2K projection, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, and next-generation 3D technology. According to PVR INOX, its custom audio system delivers a rich, immersive sound experience on par with the finest cinemas worldwide, bringing premium viewing to India’s rooftop.

With this launch, PVR INOX now operates the largest multiplex network in India and Sri Lanka, with 1,774 screens across 356 properties in 112 cities.

As per reports, the site is situated at an altitude of 11,500 feet, PVR Leh is officially the highest multiplex in India. The venue also features Leh’s first modern food court, offering popular outlets like KFC, Pizza Hut, Costa Coffee, and Vaango, enhancing the overall entertainment experience.

The multiplex’s inaugural screening lineup includes the Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar and the Hollywood 3D fantasy drama Avatar: Fire And Ash. The arrival of PVR Leh is a milestone for Ladakh’s movie lovers and for distributors exploring untapped markets.

Combining cutting-edge technology, a curated food and beverage ecosystem, and a location that doubles as a tourist attraction, the multiplex is set to become a popular weekend destination for locals, armed forces personnel, and travelers alike.
