PVR Inox Halts Advance Booking of Jolly LLB 3 Nationwide, Industry in Shock

In a surprising move, PVR Inox, India’s largest multiplex chain, has put a hold on advance ticket bookings for the highly anticipated Jolly LLB 3, scheduled to release this Friday. The exact reason remains unclear, though sources suggest that the film’s makers requested extensive programming requirements which PVR Inox did not agree to. This development has sent ripples through the film industry, trade circles, and even among eager moviegoers.
The suspension of bookings began on the evening of September 17 and, as of 8:00 am on September 18, ticket sales remain largely paused across most PVR Inox locations. Only a handful of screens continue to sell tickets, while the majority have removed Jolly LLB 3 from their weekend schedules—though a few screens appear to be reserved for the film. The positive news is that Star Studios18 and PVR Inox are actively working toward a resolution.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “A meeting is scheduled between the two parties on Thursday at 10:00 am. Everyone hopes the issues will be resolved amicably, and once that happens, PVR Inox bookings should resume immediately.”Jolly LLB 3, starring Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, and Amrita Rao, is directed by Subhash Kapoor and is part of a popular franchise, making it one of the most awaited courtroom dramas this year.
A senior trade analyst commented, “This isn’t just about one film. Disruptions like this can shake audience confidence and affect overall footfalls. For a film with strong demand like Jolly LLB 3, a swift resolution is critical.”All eyes are now on Thursday’s 10:00 am meeting between Star Studios18 and PVR Inox. If talks proceed smoothly, ticket bookings could resume quickly, allowing fans to secure their seats for this eagerly awaited release.
